Change of management at Argor-Heraeus: Robin Kolvenbach succeeds Christoph Wild

Successor Kolvenbach takes over on 1st March. Wild stays until end of June to ensure smooth transition. HPM CEO André Christl thanks Wild for his decades of service.

Leadership change at Argor-Heraeus in Mendrisio/Switzerland: Dr. Robin Kolvenbach (36) will succeed Christoph Wild, the current co-CEO and Delegate of the Board of Directors, on 1st March. In the future, he will lead the company together with Co-CEO Dr. Steffen Voss and continue the successful strategic development of Argor-Heraeus.

Wild has accompanied the development of the Swiss gold refinery Argor-Heraeus for more than 30 years in various functions. He will remain with the company until the end of June 2022 to ensure a smooth transition. "We thank Christoph Wild for his excellent work, his commitment to the precious metals industry and the outstanding development of the company. Thanks to his commitment, Argor-Heraeus is today one of the most renowned precious metals companies in the world," said André Christl, CEO of Heraeus Precious Metals, the precious metals division of the Heraeus Group.

Robin Kolvenbach was head of Innovation Chemicals at Heraeus Precious Metals until his move to Switzerland. He joined the Heraeus Group in 2018 and has since actively contributed to the positive development of the division in various functions in the field of precious metals processing and refining. Robin Kolvenbach started his career at the start-up company Alantum after successfully completing his PhD in chemistry at the Technical University of Munich.

Argor-Heraeus is one of the world's leading gold and silver refiners. The Heraeus Group has held shares in the Swiss company for more than 35 years. In 2017, Heraeus acquired the remaining shares and owns 100 percent of Argor-Heraeus since. The precious metals refinery is now a business line of Heraeus Precious Metals and the division's global center of excellence for gold and silver, with sites in Switzerland, Hong Kong, Germany, Italy and Chile.
